thredd is a link-in-bio page. It needs very little about you, and it is built to know very little about the people who visit your page.
What we store about you
- Your email address. It is how you sign in — there is no password. We use it to send login codes and to contact you about your account.
- Your page. Your display name, bio, profile picture, links, design choices, and the activity days you enter yourself.
- Your plan. Which tier you are on, and an identifier for your billing record.
We never see or store your card. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe — see Billing below.
What we store about visitors to your page
So you can see how your page performs, we count page views and link clicks. That is done without following anyone around:
- No cookies. Nothing is stored on a visitor’s device, so there is no cookie banner to click.
- No IP addresses are kept. A visitor’s IP is combined with their browser type, a secret held only on our server, and the current date, then hashed. Only that hash is stored. It cannot be reversed into an IP, and because the date is part of it, the same person on two different days produces two unrelated values. Nobody can be followed across days, including us.
- Referrers are reduced to a category — for example “instagram”, “direct” or “other”. The full referring address is never recorded.
- Country only. No city, no region, no precise location.
We keep this event data for a limited window and then delete it automatically. How far back you can look depends on your plan; older raw events are removed regardless.
Who else processes your data
- Supabase — database, login, and storage for images you upload.
- Vercel — hosting and delivery of the site.
- Stripe, including Link — payments, invoicing, and tax. Stripe is the merchant of record for your subscription.
These providers process data on our behalf. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Billing
Subscriptions are sold through Stripe’s Managed Payments, which makes Stripe the merchant of record. Your purchase appears as “Sold through Link” and your bank statement will showLINK.COM* THREDD. Stripe holds your payment details, calculates and remits VAT, and sends your receipts and invoices. We receive only your plan and a customer reference.
Your rights
You can see and change your page and account details at any time by signing in. You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it. Deleting your account removes your pages and their content.
For anything Stripe holds — payment details, invoices, purchase history — you can also contact Stripe directly, since they are the merchant of record for those transactions.
